Well I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving! The folks at AEHI welcomed the holiday with much to be thankful for.

Supporters of the global nuclear power renaissance had something to be thankful for also. The first concrete was poured at a new nuclear power plant last Monday! The plant is being built at Kakrapar in Gujarat India. Officially, the groundbreaking for the project was in January, but pouring the first concrete is always an exciting milestone for a new nuclear plant.

So am I jealous that this momentous event occcurred in India and not in the U.S.? No, not at all. I can never be jealous when clear-thinking people take an idea, identify a need, and actually bring a plan to fruition. The tide lifts all boats and every new nuclear plant built in the free world brings us closer to bringing our plans to fruition.

History has shown us that the adoption of good ideas leads to greater and greater adoption of those same good ideas. The snowball effect has been proven with every great technological innovation from the cell phone to the DVD. People are smart and when they see that something works they generally want one. Further, as the adoption of new technologies grow, the more those technologies improve. In addition, history has shown us that prices drop and quality improves with greater adoption.

So to our friends in India I say "Celebrate your victory and thanks! Because your pouring concrete in India just made it a little easier for us to get to the point where AEHI will be pouring concrete and popping Champagne bottles!"

I eagerly await the day when I get to write "AEHI Pours Concrete" on this page.

Re: Construction Starts At Nuclear Plant In India, I Can't Wait For It To Be Our Turn

India has serious power issues. Rolling blackouts are very common. These issues have hurt productivity for a long time.
